    Christopher worked in several accounting and finance positions in his five year tenure at Nortrax. During this time, Chris earned three promotions, and was integral in designing processes across the organization that resulted in greater efficiencies and lower costs. Accomplishments included: developing and implementing "cradle to grave" SOX documentation, review, and monitoring processes; redesigning month-end close procedures to meet aggressive deadlines while ensuring accuracy; creating and implementing an integrated corporate budgeting and forecasting process; and in general, charting the strategic path of the corporation from a finance and accounting perspective including tactical accounting and operations changes resulting in improved results - increased profits and lower expenses.

  • Management Consultant at Various Fortune 500 Companies

    2004 - 2008

    As a management consultant, Christopher worked to assist eleven different clients on a variety of accounting and finance related projects. Seven of the eleven clients were Fortune 500 companies; the others were mid-sized publicly traded companies with revenues under $1B. The projects varied, but included: directing an effort to restate the financial statements in the aftermath of a massive corporate fraud, leading and implementing Sarbanes Oxley requirements across entire organizations in both domestic and international offices, developing a process for a large insurance company to properly account for billions of dollars of invested funds in REITs and Hedge Funds. The projects were unique in terms of the specific challenges, size, scale, and scope. Chris tremendously enjoyed being immediately immersed at a new company with, in general, a sizeable challenge/need. From there, understanding the client's expectations, developing a project plan, and executing it to meet or exceed expectations was the ultimate goal. This was fantastically rewarding work, and Christopher takes great pride in these successes.
